Welcome to the Congregations of the Pacific Parish
We are congregations commited to the love of God in Christ. Our faith is our cornerstone. In community with each other, reaching out in love, we welcome and invite all to come and worship with us.
Bay Center, Raymond and South Bend are United Methodist congregations located on the Southwest coast of Washington surrounding the beautiful Willapa River. The Bay Center Church is located in the middle of the town of Bay Center famous for its' oyster beds. The Raymond congregation is found in an historic building at the entrance to downtown Raymond right across from the Public Library. Our church in South Bend, another historic building, is at the top of a hill overlooking Highway 101 and the Willapa River.
We believe that the Bible is the Living Word of God and that it is still relevant in our world today. We believe that God has the power to heal, forgive, renew, restore and transform every person who calls on Him through faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. We are congregations desiring to encounter God every time we come together in worship. We encourage and help each other to grow in faith through worship, prayer, education and fellowship. Our congregations engage with the community to shine the light of God into our world. We would love to have you come and worship with us at one of our churches in either Bay Center, Raymond or South Bend. Faith in action in Pacific County, Washington!

A Message from Pastor Jim McGinnis (NIV Version)"And they shall call Him Immanuel which means God with us." Matthew 1:23b
Welcome to our Home Page. The Pacific Parish United Meth-odist Churches are places where Holy Spirit inspired worship overflows in missions to our surrounding communities.
During the season following Easter, we acknowledge the blessing of the wonderful diversity of this Willapa Harbor community. We welcome all who live, work and play among us. We are a variety of people with different struggles, desires and ques-tions. This time of year is about life, death and life beyond death. For those of us who are grieving, the Easter message can be a challenge. For the widow mourning the death of her husband or for the widower caring for children the experience of life and death is like a fresh wound. We bring you good news with confidence and realism. We ack-nowledge your loss with loving concern. Now we will again proclaim the good news of faith by remembering that life and hope spring fresh and new.
Some will attend a church because of a desire to connect. We welcome you. By the grace of God, we are lead into his presence. You are home as we all are in a place of worship. The wonderful fulfillment of God's promise is for all people. Enjoy and participate in the message of good news for all!
Yet, the image of the traditional family is often not reality. Families experience illness, divorce, and relocation. If your life is different, if you are in a new place this springtime season, we welcome you. We will take time in our quiet moments to recall family times and good memories shared in the past. This wonderful season is the time of hope, healing and new beginnings. We are here in this community together sharing this experience and making new memories. Many of us come together in worship with friends we have known week in and week out through all our lives. We know the order of worship. We could follow it in our sleep! Of course, that would never happen. We welcome you. Our prayer is that you might share in the good news message in a new fresh way enriching your spiritual lives and discovering that the Lord has much work for you to do.
Many of us may feel distracted. We are thinking about our children, our challenges or maybe our plans for the future. We welcome you in love. Don't worry about those things now. Be present with us and trust God will reach through all our distracted thinking and welcome us. Perhaps this is the season when God will plant a seed that changes your life. Celebrate with us. Are you a seeker? We welcome you. Join us as we remember our own journeys to faith. How did that experience change our lives? Why does it matter? The message is one of hope and truth. During this time of spring flowers, we see new growth, and new life. Who knows what may happen? This may be the moment when you begin your new journey with God.
For now, let's remember to connect with each other. The Lord welcomes us all into his glorious presence. God is all things to all people, Lord of all people no matter where we come from. My prayer from the Pastor's heart for you is for joy, love and sharing life's good things with friends, neighbors and family.
I'm Pastor Jim McGinnis. After three decades in the U.S. Navy, I am pursuing my love of ministy here. The United Methodist Churches located in Bay Center, Raymond, and South Bend make up the Pacific Parish. Our activities in three congregations keep us busy. My wife Carol and I invite you to join us.
I believe in Immanuel, God with us. I believe God is present and active in our lives through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I have faith that our Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, and "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9.
Come join us in worship as we praise God and welcome you to our faith community.

"In the same way, the Spirit helps in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him...." Romans 8:26-28 (NIV Version)
